The course is intended to enhance the understanding of JavaScript - JavaScript is a prerequisite for this course; therefore, beginner knowledge on JavaScript is required. Basic knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery, as well as good knowledge of HTML and CSS, are also crucial as this course is mainly concentrated entirely on JavaScript.
In this course, you will learn ways to improve web pages and make functionality more efficient. Students will get to expand on their knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery programming and learn how to use the features of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) and Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and Extensible Markup Language or XML).
JSON is the preferred format for data transferred between different coding languages. While Ajax provides the ability for your JavaScript code to make HTTP requests to get data and update your page content with the new data (asynchronously without reloading page), Ajax and JSON together are used everywhere and go hand in hand to power many of the top web applications.
At the end of this course, you will learn: what are Ajax, jQuery, and JSON, how they work together, and how to use them in the real web projects.
